This Girl LOVES her salad! I enjoy packing it for lunch during the work week, especially when I have a great dinner planned and want to eat a little lighter! Store-bought dressing can be easy to travel with, and a good option for packing salad on the go. But when you’ve grown up with homemade dressing, the store-bought just doesn’t cut it! Which of course makes packing salad for lunch a bit challenging. Here’s how I do it:
- Mix your dressing and toppings in a container large enough to fit your salad in. My main go-to dressings are olive oil and red wine vinegar or lemon juice with a little salt, pepper and garlic powder (super easy). I tend to use toppings like tomatoes, olives, cheese and sunflower seeds.
- Cut up your lettuce and put it in a sandwich bag or separate container.
- When you’re ready to eat, mix the lettuce in with your dressing / toppings.
